Beautiful and exciting Krka river is divided in two fly fishing districts. Upper part [1] is managed by the State´s fisheries Institute, lower part [2] by the local Fly fishing club of Novo mesto. River itself is a perfect habitat for trouts, especially for genuine brown trouts. Fast and slow currents are changing all the way. Krka is a typical chalkstream where "gammarus" and nymphs are doing just perfectly but you can use dry flies also. Evening hatches are long and numerous.

Flyfishing season from: 01.03. - 30.11.

Whole upper part of the river is a pure flyfishing paradise. Just below its source it flows smoothly and slowly with few smaller dams. It is full of trophy brownies and rainbows. From the dam in Krka village river flows more lively, with lots of cascades and rapids, smaller dams, with literally millions of hiding places for beautiful brown trouts.

Flyfishing season from: 01.04. - 30.09.

Great scenery, cascades and pools are the ideal places to catch huge brown trouts or hucho. Definitely one of the most beautiful fly fishing places in Slovenia. This part is managed by the Novo mesto Fishing Club.
