Hey Eelke, we wish you a pleasant stay in Slovenia and tight lines! Soca is great these days, so fishing should be just perfect. Enjoy! Lucky |

Is the best fishing with nimfs or dry flies? Eelke |

Hey Eelke, well, nymphing usually produces more fish then dry fly fishing which is more or less limited to the shorter periods along the day. But again- it depends on the river, water level, air pressure, etc. so there is no universal rule. But generally speaking- nymphing gives best results... Also try some streamers, like wooly buggers, muddler minnows and simmilar (best collors are grey, brown and green), general rule is that all wet flies must be pretty heavy to reach bottom or at least sink deep.

Normally when I fish in the Socavalley with streamers I have 2 colours with me and that's red and black. Patterns are wooly buggers type and to get down I'm using 2 tungsten head on the fly (4mm tungsten). But most of the time and what gives me most of the fish is nymphing, A view of my box: // Cz povezava [link] [ Edited Tuesday 04 September 2007 - 12:02:26 ] www flyfishingslovenia com www.flyfishingslovenia.com www medfluga se www.medfluga.se |
